Ok so I was with a cable company called adelphia, they were bought out by time turner, I have my internet through the cable and now its roadrunner and there web page is not accessible and I don’t have a land line to change to another IP, girrr.
I thought there was a law that IP’s should be accessible for the blind, if you would like to see for your self just go to activation.rr.com and see if you get as frustrated as me, when you go to the web page click on I use to be with adelphia and you will run into an active x thing which is a pain in the ass by it’s self, or just go to roadrunner.com and it’s another page that is not accessible.
o and i did try calling them and was told there is something wrong with my web browser, but yet all the other web pages i go to i don't have any problem, girrr

If you go in to the security tab in tools>internet options, you can add this site to the trusted sites. I don't know why the idiotic site designers make you refresh the page when IE does it for you. Either that, or you can try your luck at pressing alt plus n to get to the information bar real quick after hitting the ok button.

It's been a while, but I used to have road runner, and I absolutely hated their site. I don't think their designers ever heard of an alt tag, much less ever used one.

When I complained about it, they told me it must be my browser too. Must be a recorded response.

I'm going to quit before I start yelling obscenities at the top of my lungs, and get kicked out of my apartment.

I have a friend who uses road runner and they don't like the accessibility from the site either. I would suggest emailing the site webmaster directly. I know how you feel. The reason they said it's something with your web browser is because tech support doesn't know what a screen reader is if it hit them in the face. Same is where I work. Blind verizon customers want to speak with a jaws user when they call in because the rep hears blindness and jaws and is absolutely clueless and won't help the customer.

Yeah when I tried signing up for yahoo email and couldn't read the little picture in the box I called them for tech support and guess what they told me? Check your browser. I'm like what does my browser have anything to do with me trying to get the little image I couldn't read on the screen? Tell them you're a user of screen reader and boom you're out of help options they simply bounce you up a wall leaving you banging your head on it.

I understande. I emailed msn about this issue, and they told me to click an icon. I spacifically told them I was blind. I emailed them again, and they told me to get sighted help. How laim is that when sighted help can be so risky since they can get your account information. They don't know a screen reader if I threw it upside these goofball's heads!I'm going to girastic measures to get an account. I'll patition them. I'll send them a link to the freedom scientific website, and let them sign up for a hotmail account blindfolded! This should teach them a lesson!

I wouldn't be surprised if the people at msn didn't know what ADA is!
